ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Satisfies the transportation needs of vehicle purchasers.
- Sells/leases and delivers a minimum of 10 units per month.
- Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
- Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
- Explains fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
- Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
- Provides test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.
- Utilizes dealership sales control and follow-up system.
- Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automobile sales.
- Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
- Attends product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
- Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
- Knows and understands equity and values, and is able to explain depreciation to the customer.
- Ensures that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
- Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).
- Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.

Fleet / Internet Manager General Responsibilities of the Fleet / Internet Manager:
Computer work relative to internet leads given and inventory locating Driving, demonstrating and presenting vehicles both new and pre-owned to potential buyers Environment: Working in and out of doors frequently. Individual computers assigned with office space. Hours: 50-60 hours per week Light Duty: None available Full Duty: Includes all duties Duties of the Fleet / Internet Manager: - Realize that business is built on customer satisfaction and devote themselves to guaranteeing satisfaction to their and the dealership's customers
- Establish personal income goals, using past salaries,commissions and bonuses as a basis
- Establish how many cars and/or trucks must be sold to reach earnings goals;then establish the number of demonstrations, appraisals, new internet prospects, referrals and people who must be seen face to face to reach established goals
- Develop a creative method or program through the internet that will reach predetermined goals in the allocated time
- Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time or plan more effectively
- Report to management concerning objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses as requested
- Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat business and makes the owner conscious of the salesperson so that the customer will refer leads and prospects
- Understand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technological changes in the product
- Familiarize themselves with current new products and customer benefits of new features, accessories,etc.
- Familiarize themselves with competitive products,including equipment, prices, models, series, and trading practices
- Attend sales meetings
- Know and understand equity and values, and be able to explain depreciation to a customer
