Specs at a Glance

Already one of the most appealing SUVs in its class, the Atlas Cross Sport returns for the 2024 model year with a few big updates. Not only does the refreshed Atlas Cross Sport boast a more premium interior, but it also has a more eye-catching appearance. Newly standard safety technologies make the latest model even more satisfying. Let's find out how the SE trim compares to the SEL trim.

Performance

The entire Atlas Cross Sport lineup features an updated 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Output has increased to a more muscular 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can enjoy enhanced performance without sacrificing any fuel efficiency. A maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds showcases this SUV's versatility. While VW's 4MOTION AWD system is optional on the SE trim, it comes standard on the SEL trim.

Appearance

There's no overlooking the Atlas Cross Sport's stylish makeover. It now looks even sleeker. New LED headlights add to the SUV's attractiveness. Some of the head-turning exterior color options include Aurora Red Metallic, Kingfisher Blue Metallic, and Platinum Gray Metallic. While the SE trim has a cool set of 18-inch alloy wheels, larger 20-inch alloy wheels give the SEL trim a more aggressive stance. The Atlas Cross Sport SEL's front grille also features an integrated light bar. Both trims ride on all-season tires.

Features

Most people will be more than happy with the SE trim's list of equipment. In contrast to most competitors, the Atlas Cross Sport SE comes standard with heated and ventilated front seats. You will also enjoy VW's new infotainment unit, which features a massive 12.0-inch touchscreen with wireless smartphone connectivity. Other highlights include V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, IQ.DRIVE safety technologies, and a Digital Cockpit Pro gauge cluster.

Step up to the SEL trim if you seek a more luxurious drive. Perforated Vienna leather upholstery gives its cabin an upscale touch. When behind the wheel, a head-up display puts key driving information in your direct line of sight. A hands-free rear liftgate, GPS navigation, a panoramic sunroof, and adaptive cruise control are just a few of the other upgrades.
