What's New for the 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan?

The Volkswagen Tiguan will have a fresh new look in 2025. Updated styling is a highlight of the Tiguan, which has a refreshed appearance inside and out. Along with aesthetic updates, the Tiguan's cabin has a wave of new tech features as well, and there are now physical buttons to use for some controls. The Tiguan's interior also feels roomier this year with the elimination of the third row of seats that previous models had.

What Are the 2025 Tiguan Trims & Features?

The base Tiguan model is called the S. This trim features cloth seats, heated front seats, and a keyless entry system. The S also has a convenient push-button start. For technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included, along with a six-speaker stereo. A wi-fi connection and Volkswagen's Car-Net services are available. This year, a new 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch touchscreen are standard, starting with the base model. More upscale materials are included in all trims of the Tiguan this year, including wood trim and leather accents.

The SE model follows with an upgrade to synthetic leather upholstery for the seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and dual-zone climate control. A USB port is added to the second row, and a wireless charging pad is included. Additional features are available, including a panoramic sunroof.

Next in the lineup is the SE R-Line Black. The SE R-Line Black includes a panoramic sunroof and adds ambient interior lighting for a more upscale look. It also has a leather steering wheel. The SE R-Line Black has a black exterior color scheme and larger wheels than the first two trim levels.

The SEL R-Line tops the Tiguan lineup with leather seats and ventilated front seats. A heated steering wheel comes with this trim, along with a premium audio system. More safety aids come with the top trim as well.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2025 Tiguan Have?

Performance stays the same for the Tiguan in 2025. The Tiguan still uses a turbo four-cylinder engine that generates 184 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. All-wheel drive is standard on the top trim and optional for the other trims, which come standard with front-wheel drive.

What Safety Features Does the 2025 Tiguan Include?

The 2025 Tiguan has VW's IQ.Drive safety technology with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, and emergency assist.
