What's New for the 2026 Volkswagen Jetta?

After receiving a major refresh last year, the Jetta returns for 2026 with a few notable updates. To enhance passenger safety, every trim now comes equipped with rear seatbelt pretensioners. While the SE trim adds a sunroof to its list of standard equipment, Volkswagen has upgraded the SEL trim with an eight-speaker premium sound system.

What Are the 2026 Jetta Trims & Features?

Volkswagen offers the new Jetta in four trim grades: S, Sport, SE, and SEL. The entry-level S trim remains a strong value. Some of its standard features include an 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen, an 8.0-inch VW Digital Cockpit, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Featuring exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels and black exterior treatments, the Sport trim has an even racier appearance. It also adds heated front seats and a sport differential for enhanced handling.

CloudTex seating surfaces give the SE trim an enhanced degree of luxury. While a power driver's seat makes it easier to obtain the perfect sitting position, wireless App-Connect enables you to link your smartphone without using a cord. Remote start and wireless charging are included as well.

Atop the trim ladder sits the more luxurious SEL trim. While its ventilated front seats promise to enhance comfort on hot days, ambient interior lighting allows you to set the mood. Other highlights include a configurable 10.25-inch VW Digital Cockpit Pro, navigation, and leather seating surfaces.

Under the hood rests a 1.5-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It develops a healthy 158 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
