We're proud to announce that the 2015 Volkswagen Golf has been shortlisted for Green Car Journal's "Green Car of the Year Award." It's considered by many to be the most significant environmental honor a vehicle can receive and reflects the industry's growing efforts to develop cars with enhanced efficiency and smarter low-emissions technology.

The seventh-generation VW Golf was selected as a finalist based on the fact that it "offers something for everyone in a stylish and fun package, with new 2.0-liter TDI clean diesel, efficient four-cylinder gasoline, and in some areas of the country, all-electric drive," according to Green Car Journal.

If you come test drive the 2015 Golf in Phoenix, you can try out its new clean-burning TDI and turbocharged four-cylinder today! The diesel offers up to 31 mpg city/42 mpg highway, while the four-cylinder gets 26 mpg city and up to 36-37 mpg hwy depending on the transmission you choose. In addition, unlike most other turbocharged cars, the VW Golf doesn't require premium gas to achieve max fuel efficiency.

Green Car Journal will announce its winner at the Los Angeles Auto Show on Nov. 20, 2014, so stay tuned to find out if Golf takes home the crown. The winner will be chosen by an expert panel of judges, including: Jay Leno, former night show host turned Internet star on "Jay Leno's Garage"; Kateri Callahan, President of the Alliance to Save Energy; and Dr. Alan Lloyd, President Emeritus of the International Council on Clean Transportation, among others.

For the time being, don't miss your opportunity to see the all-new, redesigned 2015 Volkswagen Golf in Phoenix. Camelback VW has many in stock with several colors to choose from!
