What's New For The 2019 Volkswagen Atlas?

With the Atlas first arriving in 2018, you might not think the 2019 model would have significant changes. You'd be surprised, though. The trim hierarchy for the 2019 model has received significant updates.

The Launch Edition from 2018 is no longer on the market for 2019. It has been replaced by the R-Line Atlas. In total, there are 7 trim options.

Certain features have been made standard across all trims. You have frontal assistance that provides forward collision warnings and automatically brake in emergencies. You also have automatic headlights, heated side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, a blind spot monitor, and rear traffic alert when you back up.

Some trims have received minor upgrades as well. The Volkswagen Digital Cockpit is now available in both the SEL and SEL Premium, as opposed to just the SEL Premium. The SE trim has triple-zone automatic climate controls.
