What Is the 2021 Volkswagen ID.4?

The 2021 Volkswagen ID.4 is an all-new, pure-electric vehicle that offers great features, a smooth ride and a spacious cabin, all in a well-equipped SUV. It also offers strong efficiency with an EPA estimated 250 mile range on the Pro S model. Volkswagen didn't pull any punches when designing the ID.4, and we expect nothing less than the best from this formidable model in the ID EV series. 

2021 Volkswagen ID.4 Trims & Features

There are two trim levels for the Volkswagen ID.4: the Pro and Pro S (Statement). The base Pro includes a 10-inch navigation display, heated front seats and steering wheel, wireless App-Connect, and wireless charging. The Pro S adds a panoramic fixed glass roof, a Discover Pro Max navigation system with 12" display, and 12-way power-adjustable front seats with leatherette seating surfaces. There's also a very limited-run 1st Edition which features special badging and white interior accents, a panoramic fixed glass roof, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a black-painted roof with silver roof rails and accents.

2021 Volkswagen ID.4 Drivetrain

This EV utilizes regenerative braking to recapture some of the power used when you slow down. You'll also notice a much smoother acceleration process than some of the other electric vehicles on the market in the last few years. You can opt for available all-wheel drive on ID.4 models released later in 2021.

2021 Volkswagen ID.4 Safety

Volkswagen has generously included IQ.DRIVE (advanced driver assistance technologies) in the ID.4. You get standard features like automated emergency braking when your vehicle senses an impact coming up. Pedestrian detection will alert you when a person near your vehicle may be located amid your blind spots. Lane departure warning technology will alert you when your vehicle is starting to drift out of its lane. Lane-keep assist kicks in to keep your vehicle on track. You can also upgrade your ID.4 to include features like adaptive cruise control and semi-autonomous mode.
