The news regarding Volkswagen’s U.S. emissions infraction has had a deep effect on all of us here at Camelback VW. We were incredibly saddened to hear the news, but are glad to report that Volkswagen corporate has further stepped up its efforts to assist customers who’ve been impacted by the situation.

Along with offering a special premium on trade-ins, Volkswagen has announced that it is giving affected Audi A3 and VW diesel owners $500 Prepaid Visa gift cards that can be used anywhere credit cards are accepted. In addition, the company is issuing $500 vouchers that can be used at VW dealerships for service and repairs, accessories purchases or as part of the down payment on a new car. In addition, Volkswagen is giving affected diesel owners free roadside assistance for three years.

This goodwill package is just one step toward earning back the trust of its customers, said Michael Horn, VW's U.S. CEO. Horn also added that the company is working nonstop to develop a fix for affected vehicles, which we hope to have more news about in the near future.
