What is included in the Car and Driver 2023 Editors' Choice list? Out of the more than 400 models that the editors of Car and Driver have examined, rated, and ranked this year, 125 vehicles—cars, trucks, crossovers, and SUVs. They are included in the annual list. The publication puts hundreds of cars through exhaustive instrumental testing. The rankings each vehicle receives in its market segment relative to rivals and how effectively it accomplishes its intended purpose. The editors' subjective assessments of each car's performance determine which vehicles make the Editors' Choice list.
Editor's Pick is only available for vehicles sold in 2023 and for which the team has actual driving experience.
