Volkswagen Future Plan Offers First Look at Entry-Level Electric Model
When Volkswagen first entered the auto market, its mission was to create popular vehicles for everyone to drive. With a name that translates to “people’s car,” it is fitting that the German automaker aimed to produce affordable and practical vehicles for all. Now, years later, Volkswagen aims to produce an electric vehicle that is affordable and fun to drive.
Although you may not be familiar with the Polo, it is historically one of Volkswagen's most popular vehicles. Production began over 50 years ago, and globally, it enjoyed tremendous success with over 20 million sales. Volkswagen first introduced the Polo in 1975, and since then, the practical VW has earned recognition for its quality design, unique style, innovation, and affordability. To commemorate the Polo's history, VW is introducing two Polo models at the Bremen Classic Motorshow.
Volkswagen is partnering with the Simeone Foundation Auto Museum in Philadelphia, PA, to produce a special exhibit showcasing Volkswagen's 75th year of producing autos in the United States. The exhibit, which runs through Jan. 12, 2025, is a collection of Volkswagen's most iconic models. The exhibit also shows important milestones in Volkswagen's history of auto production in the U.S.
